After four straight defeats and seven games since a win, an away point and a clean sheet against bang in form Rotherham is a result that was greeted with a huge sigh of relief and a large dollop of satisfaction.
Although not quite as hell for leather in performance as the second half against Brighton, Forest certainly played with intent to score a goal. The home side came alarmingly close to scoring with a couple headers but a draw seemed about fair.
Even Neil Warnock says so:
We gave Mendes a bit too much room to start with, but we altered that, and I think we definitely improved in the second half, having said that Camp has pulled off three or four good saves and overall I would say it was a fair result.
You could see the quality of the side on their team sheet, they deserve more than the 40 odd points they have.
Unbelievably, Forest's long unbeaten record against the Millers remains intact although it would be nice to score a goal in Rotherham's back yard next season after two consecutive goal-less scorelines in this stadium.
