Since Forest met MK Dons at the City Ground on 19th December, results are as follows:
1-1, 1-1, 1-1, 1-0, 1-1, 3-0, 1-0, 0-0, 0-1, 1-0
No, it hasn't been thrilling or 'jump out of your pants exciting' but it's been good enough. Indeed, it's probably been more than good enough. Defensively, it boils down to one goal conceded in the last five games - and that in the last minute against Odion Ighalo after a dozy moment from Kelvin Wilson.
A huge away following - despite some extortionate ticket pricing - saw Nelson Oliveira bag a winner to cement a reasonably comfortable away win for Dougie Freedman's team. This was another highly satisfactory mugging after seeing off Middlesbrough on their own patch with an identical scoreline.
The team seems to be settling down in terms of selection and more often than not, Freedman's tactics and line ups are bearing fruit. He seems to be on a steep learning curve and deserves another huge glass of red wine tonight.
As for Steve Evans...oh, Steve:
Steve Evans: watching #nffc is like 'watching paint dry'. #sourgrapes #lufc

He really is the gift that keeps giving:
Steve Evans: "I'd rather go to the dentist than watch Nottingham Forest every week." #nffc

Of course, the good Mr Evans should probably have a sit down and have a long hard look at some numbers:
"Like watching paint dry". Says the man who manages the team with the fewest home goals in the league this season. #NFFC #LUFC

Bless his rather large cotton socks.
