Signing a striker from Birmingham City with more fights under his belt than Julio Cesar Chavez was considered to be a bit risky for Brian Clough. Luckily, Peter Taylor was on hand to offer sage advice and so it was that KENNETH BURNS signed on the dotted line for Nottingham Forest.
But for the bluster, the glaring of gums and headbutts, Burns was some footballer. After all, you don't win the Footballer of the Year Award from the Football Writers without being able to play a bit.
Here he is scoring against Barcelona in the Super Cup to claim the trophy for Forest in 1979, after which the team were applauded by the home fans.
