We know all about the shouting, fist pumping and thunderbolt free kicks when it comes to STUART PEARCE but let it not be forgotten that he was also a damned fine footballer too.
This goal - although only 9th in a top ten list of his finest - is a fine one, epitomising his marauding forward runs from left back and composure in front of goal. From left back, he plays a ball to Scot Gemmill and then he's off. Neat interchange between Pearce and his mate Nigel results in him bearing down on the City goal. The finish is that of a seasoned striker.
Note how the ball never ever leaves the floor in the build up to this goal. Superb stuff.
